Cairo-based firm Hany Saad Innovations has been announced as the winner of the Residential Architectural Property Award at The International Design & Architecture Awards 2025, hosted by Design Et Al in London. The award is one of the most competitive in the program with more than 650 entries submitted, and only 12 projects shortlisted before Saad’s design was selected as the winner.
The project that secured the award is a contemporary luxury residence in Palm Hills, Giza, envisioned by Hany Saad Innovations as a balance between modern minimalism and functional living. “The vision was to craft a statement of balance, where modern innovation meets human need, and where elegance is lived every day,” Hany Saad tells SceneHome.
Defined by clean lines, open-plan layouts, and a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, the home emphasises natural light, cross-ventilation, and energy efficiency. A neutral palette softened by stone, wood, and metal creates warmth without excess, while smart zoning distinguishes vibrant social areas from quiet private spaces. "It reinforces our role in shaping luxury residential design through a blend of contemporary innovation and timeless elegance," Saad adds.
Advanced smart home integration, including lighting, climate control, and energy monitoring, complements the architectural clarity of the design. Every detail from structural elements to finishes was refined in collaboration with engineering and landscape specialists to ensure precision at every stage.
The International Design & Architecture Awards have previously recognised global studios including Foster + Partners and Zaha Hadid Architects. In light of this, Saad tells us, "Beyond the personal milestone, the win marks a meaningful step forward for Egyptian architecture on the global stage."
