Dried Flowers & Gorgeous Plumes with Pampas Egypt

One of the best ways to breathe life into an interior space is to bring nature indoors. But for many of us, remembering to care for plants does not come naturally. Pampas grass, which has steadily become a growing decor trend, is a beautiful and convenient addition that requires zero maintenance. You’ve probably seen the wheat-like grass on countless Instagram and Pinterest images, tucked away in the corner of a room in an oversized, misshapen glass vase. Unfortunately, the trend hasn’t entirely made its way to local shops across Egypt - until now.

Pampas Egypt is the first online decor store to specialize in the trendy grass in all its forms. Founded by Soukaina Faris, the store sells a variety of pampas species dyed in different colours, alongside other dried flowers. It all started when Faris was looking for pampas for her home, and to her dismay she could not find a feasible place to buy it. After some time and digging, she uncovered a few sources of pampas and even started growing it at her spouse’s farm on the Alexandria Desert Road.

“It’s a flower that easily blends into any interior decor style, and that makes it very versatile,” Faris tells #SceneHome. “The fact that it doesn’t require any care at all makes it even more appealing, and it even gets better with age.” Particularly for those who lean more towards neutral colour palettes, these sand-coloured grasses add a graceful touch to your space. Although it was originally considered an invasive garden weed, we think it’s safe to say pampas plumes prove that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
