AD:LA7 Brings a New Wellness Beach Club Concept to Egypt’s North Coast
Salt & Sand is the first of its kind beach club at Zoya Ghazala Bay on Egypt's North Coast, bringing together fitness and recovery in a laid-back setting designed in harmony with nature.

While the North Coast isn’t short on sun loungers, lazy lunches, or beaches alive with music, Salt & Sand is exactly what’s been missing. This new wellness beach club from LA7 was designed to prove that a good time can also be a good-for-you time, with a design and ethos that draw inspiration from earth elements, sandy tones, and the salty feel.
Set right on the shoreline, the layout guides your experience with intention. The design embraces harmony with nature, open layouts and an unpolished aesthetic. Local natural materials like raw wood, textured stone and sand-toned finishes keep the spaces grounded in their setting, while lush planting and large-leaf greenery are used to give nature visual power over the built environment, echoing the meditating feeling of being cradled by nature. “We designed every space to live as part of the landscape," Lina Magdy, Salt & Sand's designer and co-founder of Sunbeam Spaces, explains. "The layout is designed to be breathing, unforced and open to its surroundings.”
As the design merges minimalism and functional zoning, it creates distinct spatial experiences that remain connected through tone, light and material. Privacy is carefully balanced with openness through the project’s amenities, including the outdoor sauna which is the first of its kind in Egypt. Moving between gym zones, recovery decks and shaded walkways, the sea remains in view, and indoors feels only a step away from the water.
The spa and recovery area is a sea-view showstopper with cold plunge tubs and bubbling jacuzzis. While the indoor gym is framed by the sea views, keeping the connection to the coast unbroken. It’s all part of what LA7 Partner Mohamed ElKhamissy calls "a curated physical experience, where timeless aesthetics take form through thoughtful zoning."
And because workouts run on fuel, LA7 collaborated with the health-focused eatery Fortune of Well to serve up clean meals, whole ingredients and drinks to energise or restore, depending on the need.
While the experience feels curated, it’s very inclusive. Families are welcome, and children have space to play while adults find time to move or reset. Every corner of the project, even locker rooms and shaded walkways, shares the same restrained aesthetic and tonal continuity in order to celebrate a fun and healthy beachside lifestyle, balancing energy and relaxation naturally.
