Dubai’s Floating Oasis: Therme Wellness Resort Design Unveiled
Designed by New York-based studio Diller Scofidio + Renfro, Therme Dubai is a 100 metre-tall green wrapped structure.

This white towering structure hovers over Dubai's Zabeel Park, appearing as light as a feather while lush greens protrude from each of its corners. This is the recently unveiled Therme Dubai wellness resort design by the New York-based design studio Diller Scofidio + Renfro.
Penned for the globally wellness-driven Therme Group, the 100-metre-tall structure rises in cascading circular tiers, each level smaller than the one below. Like an island, the wellness centre is completely surrounded by water. A transparent mesh-like facade glides over the staggered round platforms, like a wave of water sweeping upwards. Flowing pool terraces on the edges overlook the surrounding view wrapped with outdoor green spaces like an oasis in the sky.
Beyond its pristine allure, the resort’s amenities are divided into three folds across different floor levels. The ‘Play’ level caters to families and children, offering dedicated spaces for art and cultural events. ‘Relax’ provides a place to unwind, featuring restaurants. ‘Restore’, meanwhile, houses a thermal complex with steam rooms and dedicated women’s spaces.
Crafted to accommodate 1.7 million visitors per year, its indoor and outdoor pools, along with saunas, offer guests the opportunity to have a refreshing dip or a detoxifying sweat session. Meanwhile, the indoor botanical gardens allow visitors to enjoy tropical greenery while staying sheltered from the blazing sun.
