Qiddiya Investment Company has unveiled a groundbreaking performing arts centre in Qiddiya City, a new development in Saudi Arabia dedicated entirely for play and creative development. Set atop the Tuwaiq cliffs, the Qiddiya Performing Arts Centre will play host to over 260 performances each year, serving as an incubator for young Saudis and providing invaluable opportunities for younger generations of artists and creative producers.

Projected to attract 800,000 visitors each year, the centre will add to Saudi Arabia’s booming cultural landscape with its ambitious architecture, state-of-the-art technology, and dedication to artistic innovation.

“The Qiddiya Performing Arts Centre will be a beacon of creativity and innovation that will elevate Saudi Arabia’s cultural landscape to new heights,” Abdullah Al-Dawood, Managing Director of Qiddiya Investment Company, tells SceneHome.

Technologies such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Artificial Intelligence will be used to push the boundaries of traditional theatre. With over 3,000 seats spread across three theatres, guests will be immersed in a 360-degree experience that merges physical and digital elements.

Offering breathtaking views of the city’s plateau, a cantilevered amphitheatre will feature a fully adaptable and suspended 500-seat venue. A rooftop sky garden, art galleries and green spaces will extend the cultural experience, while its architecture will serve as a symbol of civic identity.

The centre’s unveiling follows the announcement of Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium, a multi-use gaming and esports district.
