Saudi Arabia’s Neom Development Unveiled Stacked Coastal Town in Aqaba
Neom’s Norlana features bold, futuristic architecture, set against the stunning Gulf of Aqaba, offering 711 units.
Saudi Arabia’s visionary Neom project has announced Norlana, a waterfront community planned along the Gulf of Aqaba in the Kingdom's northwest. Set to be designed by the global architecture practice 10 Design, the concept envisions stacked blocks rising from the dramatic mountainous terrain, reimagining active living for 3,000 future residents.
At its heart, Norlana will feature a vibrant waterfront promenade, where open spaces are designed to foster connection and community, all against the breathtaking backdrop of the coastline.
This futuristic development has a brutalist feel, with its protruding, solid chunks of facade resembling a time-bending architectural Lego, rising and cantilevered from the surrounding rock formations. With 711 residential properties available, Norlana offers future residents a modern mix of mansions, apartments and beach villas, seamlessly blending into the surrounding dunes.
Nestled along the coastline, a 120-berth marina is poised to be an international haven for superyachts. Beyond providing world-class docking facilities, it offers a blend of luxury and leisure, where yachting enthusiasts can indulge in an exclusive members-only club while soaking in the breathtaking views of Norlana’s waterfront.
Complementing the striking landscape, an 18-hole golf course winds its way through the rugged mountain terrain, while equestrian and polo facilities cater to riders of all abilities. Along the waterfront, maritime activities and water sports thrive, with water taxis seamlessly linking key areas.
